Certificate in Melanography Essentials
BLENDED - both online modules and 2 day face to face workshop on Saturday/Sundays
This course aims to equip learners with the relevant knowledge and skills in skin assessment and imaging for competent and safe melanography practice.
Participants should be AHPRA registered practitioners. If applicants are not currently registered they are not able to do the workshop to achieve full certification.
All workshops are held in Melbourne, Victoria at Molemap offices. Full details available at commencement of course.
TRIMESTER 1 4th Feb - 28th April Workshop: 4th & 5th May
TRIMESTER 2 3rd June - 1st Sept Workshop: 10th & 11th August
TRIMESTER 3 2nd Sept - 1st Dec Workshop: 9th & 10th November
Melanography skills are becoming a crucial element in the identification and subsequent treatment of skin cancers and skin conditions. This course, built in collaboration between the ACD and MoleMap, provides nurses and other health professionals with the relevant knowledge and skills in skin assessment and imaging which are required for competent and safe Melanography practice. It offers a combination of online and face to face workshop learning and, upon successful completion of content and assessments, students are awarded a Certificate in Melanography Essentials from the ACD that is recognised in many clinics in Australia and New Zealand.
