Skin infections, infestations and bites are common presentations to general practice. To manage them appropriately, it is important to have a good understanding of their clinical manifestations.

Skin infections fall into 3 categories: bacterial, viral, and fungal. Due to the increasing rate of antibiotic resistance, it is important for GPs to feel confident about making a diagnosis to indicate the correct treatment.

Skin infestations can spread quickly and easily from person to person, so precise diagnose and finding the right treatment is important.

It can be difficult to know if a bite or a sting from an insect is dangerous or not. Most insect bites and stings are relatively harmless but some of them can cause a severe allergic reaction.

In this module you will learn to diagnose and manage:

1. Bacterial infections
2. Viral infections
3. Fungal infections
4. Common skin infestations and bites

Complete this module online, at your own pace and from the comfort of your home or office.
