Connective Tissue Diseases have their roots in abnormalities of the support structures (collagen) of the body and they often involve a vascular component. There are many different types of connective tissue disease and they may be inherited, caused by environmental factors, or most often, are of unknown cause.

Primary care providers play an essential part in early recognition and referral for patients presenting with Connective Tissue Disease.

In this module you will learn to:

1. Identify ‘typical’ cases which present in your practice
2. List possible differential diagnoses
3. Outline possible treatment options
4. Assess and choose the most appropriate treatment options based on various clinical scenarios
5. Identify risks of adverse outcomes associated with various treatment options

Complete this module online, at your own pace and from the comfort of your home or office.

Boost your confidence in the diagnosis and management of Connective Tissue Disease in your patients. Apply these principles as a guide for appropriate referral to a dermatologist when required. Call (02) 8741 4140 for more information!
